Undergraduate Honors Thesis

This study is the crowning achievement of my time at The George Washington University School of Media and Public Affairs. My senior thesis explores whether and to what extent a connection exists between the strength of political opinions and consumption of controversial content on social media. This study was funded through a research grant, allowing me to conduct a survey-experiment involving over 400 participants. The findings herein are relevant to organizations both inside and outside the sphere of politics, all of whom must consider the digital environment in which they are communicating.
